Zhob had and have a very Ancient History, During Mughal rule in the time of 'SANZAR NIKA' there were two Mughal Governors, Miro Mughal in lower Zhob, and other Mughal Governor in upper Zhob. Sanzar killed (Jogizai are descendant) the governor of upper Zhob,
Hence Mughal rule came to an end, than Zhob became an independent identity. The real show in Zhob began. First Ahmad shah tried to integrate Zhob in Afghanistan, when he failed to capture Zhob, he decided to have a small but powerful neighbor with him, Hence he bestowed the Badshah of Zhob to Bakar Jogizai through a sound and a gold crown with precious stones in it as a token of recognition as Badshah of Zhob Lala Hotharam Book (History of Balochistan) on section of the title Zhob agency, Hence Zhob was known because the residence of Jogizai Sardars, He further states that from Ahmad shah to Amir Abdul Rahman none of them lost hope to conquer Zhob, but hope remained a hope 'Ram' further states there that Zhob neither paid taxes are called themselves as citizen other than that of Zhob, some semblance hence of Afghanistan could be felt like that of currency as means of trade in common as Afghan currency was the only means of economic activity, when grip of Badshah of Zhob loosened then there was complete Anarchy prevailed for fifty years till British completely occupied Zhob in (Probably 1902). The occupation of Zhob as above is an interesting story. To begun with geography strategic location of this District. None else than Hotharam depicted in his said book (page 600). The British named Zhob as occupied territory because massive resistance was given by Jogizais in particular and 'Zhobis in general'.
In 28/06/85 S.R.Sandamen wrote a letter to Sardar Shahbaz khan Badshah of Zhob and after proper salutation S.R.Sandamen in the (body of the letter indicated) that Badshah (King) means Sardar of Sardars,
It was not a unique duplacy of British Policy only in zhob, but every where any where.Their interest involved their rule came near an end, when constitute assembly election were held in 1946 on 19th July 1946. Nawab Mohammad khan Jogizai was the soul member of constitute Assembly of Balochistan. Only one good point of British Raj to be recognized was their Law Making & Capacity or capability of such. They made laws according to the nature of the people. There was regular Law for settled areas.
F.C.R 1901 customary Law (page 6) part of F.C.R and each tribe had its Own 'Rewaaj' for tribal areas.
Now the concept of Law is mugged up, hence so much confusion.
