 This week, 21-year-old 2nd Lieutenant Niloofar Rhmani became the Afghan Air Force’s first female pilot to be trained to fly in 30 years.The Kabul City native earned her flying wings in a graduation ceremony at Shindand Air Base in Afghanistan’s western province of Herat, along with 12 other young Afghan graduates of the Undergraduate Pilot Training, run by U.S. Air Force instructors.
